Hal Jordan and the Green Lantern Corps #21 is the final chapter in “The Prism of Time” and what an amazing journey it’s been. From start to finish you get everything you want in a Green Lantern story, and for the first time in a long time you get to see the original four Green Lanterns of Warth fighting together in a threat so large it requires both the Green Lantern and Sinestro together to fight it.

“The Prism of Time” comes to its conclusion in an epic finale that far exceeded its expectations. From cover to cover, there’s more than enough action and suspense. The last issue we had to see John Stewart and the Green Lantern Corps remove their rings to surrender. Hal Jordan and Rip Hunter are off to go find and defeat Sarko. Seeing each Lantern from the Green Lantern and Sinestro Corps fighting without their rings proved that these characters were chosen whether they are good or bad. Everything you need out of these heroes are in this issue, from amazing battles to incredible dialog.
Every Green and Yellow Lantern shines in this issue. Robert Venditti did a great job writing this issue and giving every Lantern memorable moments and inspirational dialog that will definitely go down in the history books as one of the greatest Green Lantern stories ever told. There’s a ton of great imagery in this issue that if not done correctly could look messy, but V. Ken Marion took great care of the art. So much green on and page doesn’t sound pretty to look at, but this issue blends so well together it’s unreal. If there’s any chance you doubted “The Prism of Time” you’ll be surprised how well this issue changes your mind.
There’s so many directions this issue could have gone in that it’ll keep the reader in suspense in their chair. There are no real moments that I can say are bad. This was genuinely a good book all around. There was never a time where I felt like putting it down or even felt like I wasn’t enjoying myself. Sarko is an amazing new character that’s really enjoyable. Even though he seems to never leave that one planet, it doesn’t effect him at all. Kyle Rayner didn’t have much time on the pages last issue, but in this one there’s more room for him and in a big way.
“The Prism of Time” comes to its conclusion in an epic and unexpected way that leaves the world of the Green Lantern Corps open to new stories and new challenges. This is the best Hal Jordan and the Green Lantern Corps story so far, with all the action and emotion you can ask for as it brings the Green Lantern and Sinestro Corps together. On top of all that they ditched the white and it brought back Kyle Rayner as a Green Lantern where he belongs.
